Let me tell you a story, a tragic story. It's about my sister, your sister, Dr. Afia Siddiqui. Right now, this is a moment of shame for the whole Ummah. Our sister has been in captivity since 2003 with no evidence for her incarceration. But they'll make you believe that if you are in the wrong place at the right time, you're fair game. On that night in March 2003, they took our sister and her three kids. And to this day, her youngest, Suleiman, is still missing. How can a six-month-old baby go missing? The evil. And we just keep watching and stay silent. This is a moment of shame for me. My sister Afia has been abused in ways we can't even imagine. It breaks my heart. Where I look in the mirror and I say to myself, are you a real man? Where are the real men of this Ummah? We failed our sister and we have failed ourselves. A sister who has been sentenced to 86 years with no evidence. SubhanAllah. The evil. And we just keep watching and stay silent. Her cries are the cries of our failing as an Ummah at this moment in time. We know the story of Muqtasim, where he took his whole army to rescue just one sister. And today, we have Muslims who have billions in wealth and rulers of land that Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala has given them in this dunya. But they have no power, no shame, and no honor. Our sister must be sitting in that cage in America and thinking, where are the real men of this Ummah? The evil. And we just keep watching and stay silent. Oh Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala, I'm sorry. I have failed our sister. We have failed our sister. Dr. Afia Siddiqi's sister was doing an interview. And she said that Dr. Afia Siddiqi had a dream where our sister Afia saw the Prophet Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wa sallam. And she said, oh messenger of Allah, why am I being tested? I've been here. When is this going to end? The Prophet Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wa sallam smiled. And he said, oh my daughter, this is not your test. And our sister Afia was taken aback by that and said then, my Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, why am I here? Why am I being tested? I've been tortured and many things have happened to me. Then the Prophet Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wa sallam's face changed. And his eyes started welling up with tears. And one tear dropped down his face. And our sister Dr. Afia Siddiqi felt regret of saying this to our Prophet Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wa sallam. But our Prophet Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said, this is not your test. This is the test of the Ummah. We have failed her. All of us have failed her. Dr. Afia Siddiqi is someone who every single person in this Ummah should have in their heart. Pray for her. Advocate for her. Speak up for her. Do whatever you can in your power inshallah. Because the so-called leaders of this Ummah are cowards and powerless dunya seekers. May Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala bring peace, ease and free our sister Afia. Amin.
