Lyrics

What kind of person would walk into a church, shoot a bunch of people in the middle of the service? What kind of monster walks into a mosque and kills them while they praying or be guilty of an arson? What? Shooting up a synagogue? Ain't do that in the name of God? What kind of world we living in? Aren't we civilized? Let's agree to disagree, but don't go killing lives. Attack a Sikh person cause he wears a Sikh turban. This country's being versed in scary cause it keeps worsening. So even if it's some crazy man who's uncivil, we all gonna be down and stand visual saying, every day, fear united. No more hatred, no more violence. Love your neighbor, that's what God said. Fun creators, no more violence. No more. No more. No more. No more. No more. Tragedy is pulling these lyrics from my lips, but all talk and no action creates hypocrites. Pain builds anger and makes me wanna hit, but then the cycle continues, that's the devil's manuscript. This ain't a joke, how do I cope? The world's on fire, I'm living in smoke. I spit on them flames, trying to keep hope alive with these words that I wrote. Part of me mourns, part of me cries from all of the trauma, ready to do what it takes so that they don't get to my mama. My mind is quick to think who's next, my heart is slow to forgive next. What the heck? Kids ain't even safe in school to take a test. Jews are being murdered on the Sabbath, that's a day of rest. Muslim silhouettes, them targets, heads of state ain't voting chess. Yes, I confess, we've given up on hope and equality, acquiesce. Cause if the killer isn't brown, he under mental stress. And if the killer isn't black, gun laws are a mess. Real news, but watch how TV redirect. We need to reconsider who we publicly elect. They in office, but half the country in regret. Election's over, but justice ain't finished yet. Every day this, be united. No more hatred, no more violence. Love your neighbor, that's what God said. Fun creators, no more violence. No more, no more, no more, no more, no more. We've come to this sad realization, you need security. You would think in this day and age it's an absurdity. But 49 killed in New Zealand, murder first degree. Then they try to blame it on us, attack us verbally. I'm mad when extremists attack and they threaten churches. Cause nobody any faith anywhere should be scared to go and worship. Nobody should ever drive up, be seeing curses. Written at the door of their place. But what's worse is everybody's silent. Where's the outrage? It reaches as far as where our couch stays. Get up, go to your prayers and in a proud way. Anybody try to provoke, we hear the crowd say. Every day this, be united. No more hatred, no more violence. Love your neighbor, that's what God said. Fun creators, no more violence. No more, no more, no more, no more. No more. This Dean TV video was made possible in part by Penny Appeal USA. Small change, big difference.
