The revelation of Salah. One night, while our Prophet Muhammad ﷺ was sleeping in Mecca, Angel Jibril ﷺ appeared to him and brought him an amazing animal to ride on. This animal was tall and white. It was bigger than a donkey, but smaller than a horse. It had two wings on its thighs. Its name was Al-Buraq. Muhammad ﷺ mounted on Al-Buraq, and it travelled at fast speed of light to Jerusalem. In Jerusalem, Al-Buraq stopped at the famous Al-Aqsa Mosque. It was here that Muhammad ﷺ led all the other past Prophets in prayer, including Jesus and Abraham ﷺ. Afterwards, Muhammad ﷺ was taken up into the heavens. In the heavens, Allah told Muhammad ﷺ that we should pray Salah, and our Prophet listened and obeyed him. Muhammad ﷺ came down and met Musa ﷺ. Musa asked Muhammad ﷺ, what has Allah ordered you to do? Our Prophet said that Allah ordered him and the Muslims to pray fifty times a day. Musa said, please go back and ask for the number to be reduced, as it would be too difficult for the Muslims. Muhammad ﷺ went back to Allah and eventually reduced it to five times a day. But Allah said that each prayer would be rewarded by ten times. So when you pray the five prayers, Allah rewards you for fifty prayers. The Prophet ﷺ saw lots of amazing things on his night journey, like the great rewards we will get in Jannah insha'Allah. Then he returned home safely to his bed and told the Muslims of the amazing journey and the revelation of Salah.
