Lyrics

Bismillah. April 2002. Mother, I made you a promise, promise that I will leave the streets. We wrote it down on a piece of paper, changing my life then would have been easier. I was dreaming about fancy thing, frauding, stealing, dealing, all my life was about hustling. Plus, I've got my sexy, she's working like a bunny, to my ears those words felt like honey. Daddy, I've got your money, please be proud of me. I'm sorry for all these years of pain and tears, the bodies I made you wear. Mama, I'm sorry, couldn't face my fears. My weakness, it took me 19 years to fulfill my promise. Mac diddy Mac, kick back, relax, in my Cadillac. He hits her crack, until that whap, in my laps. Blackjack, what a feeling, when you have slaves working for you. I do what I gotta do, stay true to my crew, everything shaitans make me do. Inking my skin with tattoo, I'm a slave, let's make it official with voodoo. Sold my soul to the devil, I was on another level. Rebel mental, I was successful. Devil's not my friend, I should have been more careful. I was bawling, thinking that one day I would have everything. My life was not boring, bossing, scoring, from night to morning. Walking the walk, talking the talk, I was never stopping. This is all I know, playing the dumb show, until the police got me on a photo. Tic-tac-toe, I was caught with blow, and a piece full of ammo. Now I've problems, I'm back in the system. Locked down with other men, everything is on pause, until I get out of the pen. I'm sorry for all these years of pain and tears, the bodies I made you wear. Mama, I'm sorry, couldn't face my fears. My weakness, it took me 19 years to fulfill my promise. Mother, I made you a promise, promise that I will leave the streets. Trauma, she thinks I was dishonest, honest I was, but I felt defeat. Shaitan got me blind, blind, Allah is the mastermind, mind, Quran guidance for humankind, kind. I want to change, let's rewind, wind. Mother, your prayers got answered, I finally stopped being a gangster. Allah guided me for the better, Alhamdulillah, I'm changed forever. It took 19 years for me to respect that promise. This message is for all the parents, never despair, that salon was my process. If you want to change your life, or if you have a kid that choose the white life, just ask Allah and be patient. Your medication is a conversation with the creator of the creation. It took me 19 years to fulfill that promise. I'm sorry for all these years of pain and tears, the bodies I made you wear. Mama, I'm sorry, couldn't face my fears. My weakness, it took me 19 years to fulfill my promise. I'm sorry for all these years of pain and tears, the bodies I made you wear. Mama, I'm sorry, couldn't face my fears.
