For so many days you held me, you made me realize. Forgo this world's distractions and aim for paradise. You woke me from my slumber every morning before dawn and through the day despite my hunger I taste the sweetness of Iman. You are my clothing, you are my cover, my blessed companion, a month of great wonder. I am but nothing, you raise me higher, Allah's protection, a month like no other. Although I was fasting I was feeding my soul, at night through my prayer I found my way home. Now you are leaving me all on my own, I pray Allah helps me to keep carrying on. So farewell my friend, Allah's mercy never ends, Ramadan, may we meet again.
